Hi Peter Firstly congratulations on the Natural Universe title. What does this win mean to you and for how long have you been chasing it?

First of all I would just like to say thank you for the opportunity of this interview. It gives me great pleasure to right it while sitting in the heat of Tenerife on New Years Eve while lying by the pool!

Anyway it means a lot to me, personally and professionally. Through winning the title I have gained my natural pro card which has been a goal of mine from day one when I was sixteen years old. It has helped my personal training business massively too. Mr Universe is such a well  recognised title that I have been inundated with new clients!

What does your medal cabinet look like, can you recall all your trophies and your wins?

It's pretty full! I have been competing since 1991, my first show being the ANB Junior South East which I won! I have never lost a qualifier or the overall at a qualifier. The big titles that I won over the years are Junior British and European champion in 1992, European Heavyweight champion in 1998, World Heavyweight champion in 2005 and the Natural Universe Tall class and overall champion 2006.

Also numerous qualifiers over the years. I think my favourite show has to be the junior European win in Holland. It was a great time and a few people told me I wouldn't win it. It was a great feeling to prove people wrong! Also the trips to the US and winning over there as I didn't expect the results I got against very tough competition, even though I get knocked for winning them shows as apparently the competition isn't very good when I win abroad, not the fact I always show up looking much improved over the Britain!
